Welcome to Andrews’ Endowed Primary School Admissions Process

Thank you for considering Andrews’ Endowed Primary School for your child’s education. We understand that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision, and we are here to guide you through our admissions process.

How to Apply

Applications for a place at Andrews’ Endowed Primary School should be made online through Hampshire Admissions website wherever possible.

From 1  May 2024, the School Admissions team will no longer be batch printing paper applications for distribution to families. On the School Admissions website you can apply online or contact the team for support in making applications.

The School Admissions team have been running face to face drop-in sessions at local libraries across Hampshire during the autumn and spring terms and will do so again in the next academic year, to provide support to families with applying online for main round school places. Dates will be provided nearer the time.

There are also tutorial videos for the application portal available on the School Admissions website to support parents with making online applications.

Expressing Preferences

Parents are allowed to express an interest in at least three schools they wish their child to attend.

Admissions Deadline

The deadline for applying for primary school admission at Andrews’ Endowed is 15 January 2024 for admission in September 2024.

Missing the Deadline

Late applications received after the deadline may not be considered until after all other applications received on time. This could result in your child not securing a place at your preferred school.

Notification of Offer

Parents will find out which primary school has offered their child a place for September 2024 on Tuesday, 16 April. The decision will be sent by Hampshire council by either letter or email. Some councils allow parents to view their results through the admissions portal or system. The exact time the offers will be released varies from area to area.

Primary School Places Criteria

All schools, including Andrews’ Endowed, have admission criteria to decide which children get places, set by the school or local council. While all state-funded schools must give top priority to admitting children who are in care or have been in care, admission criteria differ for each school. Within our admission criteria, we do give priority to children who:

  • Live close to the school
  • Have a brother or sister at the school already
  • Faith criteria
