As part of the Diocesan Project, ‘Bags of Hope’,we considered what we hope for.

We thought of hopes for:

· Ourselves

· Our immediate family and friends

· Our community

· Our country

· The world

· Future generations

We were challenged to consider a group of people who have had to flee from their home countries for their own safety.
We remembered that Jesus and his family were refugees in Egypt.
We wrote prayers for refugees.

Bible Quotes

We considered what the Bible had to say about homes and welcoming all people, especially those who have had to escape danger or difficulty.

Poetry Corner

We read a mirror poem written during World War 2 by the Jewish refugee Annie Bankier. We were inspired to write our own in a similar style.

Our Leavers’ Service at Winchester Cathedral

Leavers’ Service highlights

SWe enjoyed a singing workshop at the Pilgim SChool, followed by a tour of the Cathedral and a look at the completed Installation.
